This artwork is titled ‘Sunflowers Delight’ and it was created in acrylic on canvas and it was inspired by a sunflowers and gypsophila flowers that I kept in my home for a few weeks. I often use my own vases with flowers as references for my still life paintings for authenticity. The artwork measures 15.5” x 15.5” x 1.5”, it is varnished for protection and it’s ready to hang.

For this still life painting, I used a limited colour palette, using red and green for the rose flowers and shades of blue for the vase and the background. The artwork is very striking and I loved creating light and shadows in a modern way. The lines are simple and the roses are semi-abstract.
